This week, Year 6 are writing survival guides for extreme weather conditions and natural disasters. We have been thinking about tsunamis, floods, hurricanes, avalanches and earthquakes and how we can write instructions to help people in these situations. One of our first jobs was to use the laptops to conduct our research; we will spend the rest of the week writing our survival guides.
Our outdoor sessions have been brilliant recently!!!! We’ve been learning about how to light a fire safely…and how to use our fire to toast marshmallows. We have also been using various household objects and ingredients to create model volcanoes. Bicarbonate of Soda and vinegar made for a great eruption!
