Forest School &
Outdoor Learning

All children have an outdoor Forest School session once a week – come rain or shine! These are led by fully-qualified and accredited Forest School Leader Mrs Malone, along with support staff. The children investigate all sorts of interesting things – bug hotels, making shelters, having a bonfire, planting & pruning and loads more. Our outdoor learning is linked to our indoor learning too!
Children do need warm, waterproof clothing – especially long trousers/joggers. They will ALWAYS go out – as our Forest School Leaders often say, there is no such thing as inappropriate weather, just inappropriate clothing!
Our Infant children enjoyed investigating the bug hotels and restocking them for the winter. We found some big slugs, lots of spiders and even a frog!
